GameCube controllers that stay calibrated.

Every build starts as a genuine Nintendo controller and gets a PhobGCC board: magnetic sticks that don't drift, a snapback filter tuned for Melee, and notches that land on the right coordinates.

The octagon is the stick gate. Plug in a controller and this follows your stick. For the full readout, open the controller tester.

What the Phob board fixes

Stock GameCube sticks wear out in predictable ways. These are the four the PhobGCC firmware is built around.

No drift from wear

A magnet over a Hall effect sensor reads each stick axis. Nothing rubs, so there is no track to wear down into drift.

Snapback filtered

The filter ignores the fast bounce when you let go of the stick, but follows slow, deliberate movement closely. Dashbacks and pivots come out cleaner.

Notches that hit

Notch remapping makes each physical notch send the exact coordinate it should, so a firefox angle is the same angle every time.

Feels like stock

The firmware corrects the sensor's uneven curve, so the stick responds the way a good OEM potentiometer stick does.

Changes I made
Split the model into separate parts so the buttons, sticks and triggers move. Recolored the shell for the color picker. Added a dome under each stick so the gate stays covered when it tilts.

Check any controller in your browser

The controller tester shows both sticks in Melee units, trigger travel, every button, and a scrolling trace that makes snapback easy to see. Works with a GameCube adapter that shows up as a PC gamepad.
